THE REASON TO WORSHIP

ROMANS 11:11-24

Romans 1-8 Written to Jewish Christians

Romans 9-11 Written to Gentile Christians

  1. GOD IS CALLING US TO WALK IN UNITY

Do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.  Romans 11:18-21

Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.  Romans 14:13

Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.  Romans 14:19

  1. GOD IS CALLING US TO TRUST IN JESUS (ALONE)

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.  Romans 10:9-10

Jesus is ‘The stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.  Acts 4:11-12

  1. GOD IS CALLING US TO STAND BACK AND WORSHIP! GOD IS SOVEREIGN AND HE WILL FINISH WHAT HE STARTED.

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” “Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?” For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.  Romans 11:33-36

And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!   Romans 10:23-24

I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, and in this way all Israel will be saved.  Romans 10:25-26
