A Father’s Gifts
Luke 15:11-32
Jesus continued: ‘There was a man who had two sons…’
Focusing on the Prodigal’s Father, we discover four gifts we can provide to our children, or gifts that anyone can provide to another person with whom they have relationship.
- The Gift of Release
- The Gift of Belief
Ecclesiastes 2:14 – The wise have eyes in their heads, while the fool walks in the darkness.
- The Gift of Care
The younger son’s hurt manifest as guilt and shame – the Father offered COMPASSION.
The elder son’s hurt manifest in anger and resentment – the Father provided COMFORT.
- The Gift of Forgiveness
