“Preconception may limit potential. In the worst case, it can eliminate it.”
Today’s text – 1 Samuel 16:1-13

At the start of 1 Samuel 16, God says to Samuel: “I have chosen one of Jesse’s sons to be my
king.”

1. What Others See…
v. 6 – “…Samuel took one look…”

2. What God sees…
v. 7 – “…the Lord looks at the heart.”

3. What we ought to see…
v. 11- “There is still the youngest…”
