CHASING VINES
CHASING VINES

In Chasing Vines, Beth Moore explores the ways God delights in watching things grow—and how the vineyard holds the secret to how we can have a more abundant and meaningful life. As she traces the metaphor through Scripture, Beth uncovers how every part of our own lives—even the rockiest, most difficult soil—is used by God to make a difference for His Kingdom. Join us at the church café as we gather around cups of coffee (or tea), conversation and this great study!

WHEN STIRVINGS CEASE
WHEN STIRVINGS CEASE

Hi, my name is Natalie and I attend the South Campus at Parkview Church. I enjoy helping out with both Kids Ministry and Foyer teams on Sunday mornings. When Strivings Cease is a 6-week bible study by Ruth Chou Simons, this six-session video Bible study, by Wall Street Journal bestselling and award-winning author Ruth Chou Simons reminds us that the answer were looking for isn’t the latest and greatest strategy for self-improvement; it’s the transforming gift of amazing grace. You’ll walk away understanding more fully that the generous, unmerited favour of God is the means to the welcome, love, and approval you so deeply long for.

PERSON & WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
PERSON & WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

My name is Francine Allaire and I accepted Christ as my Saviour 32 years ago at Parkview Church. I am a widow and have 2 adult daughters and 5 grandchildren. I have taken many Bible Study courses over the years as well as have many years of experience teaching children and adults. I have a passion for missions, and giftings in teaching, administration, and mentoring.  My interests are Bible study, family and friends time, golf, baseball, travel, most card or board games, reading and needlepoint. Our subject of study “The person and works of the Holy Spirit” was chosen because I have come to realize (with prayer) that He is part of the Godhead that we seem to know the least about.  God the Father is on the throne, Jesus is seated at His right hand and the Holy Spirit is the one on earth that works in and through us, and yet we often struggle to recognize or understand His importance in our daily lives. Join us for this important study, rich conversation, and warm fellowship, all from the comfort of your own home.

CROSS REFERENCE
CROSS REFERENCE

Hi, I’m Bronwyn! I recently started attending Parkview full time, although I have been attending the young adult events and Bible study for about a year and a half. I have volunteered with the Christian mission’s organization Youth With a Mission (YWAM) for a few years all around Europe. This group is a “no homework” Bible study for young adults+ and you can come jump in at any point of the year. We read a chapter of the Bible together out loud, in varying versions, and discuss as we go. This is a place to share your thoughts, questions, and perspectives of the chapters, in a respectful way and non-judgmental zone. I have also been wanting to learning how to knit, so that is potentially to come! Let’s relax and connect!

Love Guelph- Mission & Outreach
Love Guelph- Mission & Outreach

Our outreach group will be working to plan engaging events to bring the community together and help come alongside people in downtown Guelph experiencing poverty and homelessness. Our goal is to demonstrate the love of Christ through deed and word and show compassion to our community. We will be planning to have an event once each month during the semester, likely with some meetings in between to read into scripture as well as to help plan and prepare for the events. We would plan on these events to happen on either a Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon/evening depending on availability of volunteers and church space. If youre interested in being a part of a great group of people reaching out to our community, we would love to have you join us!
